For the object recognition used in Facebook’s image search, the artificial intelligence (AI) system started with a small set of 130,000 public photos shared on Facebook.

In one profile photo, the subject was shown with a posture that expanded the body through outstretched limbs and an open torso. In the other, the subject took a closed, slouching stance.
