Reducing Our Environmental Impact in Honduras

At IntouchCX, we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainability in all aspects of our operations. In line with this commitment, we have implemented a comprehensive waste management system at our Honduras campuses to encourage recycling practices and reduce waste.

Our Waste Disposal Environmental Initiative aims to establish a thorough waste management system that measures, sorts, and recycles solid waste produced by our operations. By quantifying the generation of waste at each campus in Honduras, we can track and monitor our progress towards waste reduction objectives.

To achieve this, we have purchased industrial scales to measure garbage at each location consistently. Additionally, we have implemented color-coded trash cans for specific recyclables, such as food waste, paper waste, plastic waste, and other non-hazardous waste. This categorization allows us to quantify and classify waste accurately, ensuring its properly weighed and delivered to recyclers.

To encourage recycling among our employees, we have placed garbage deposits in each cafeteria area and designated properly labeled plastic deposits in printing areas. These deposits serve as a reminder for our employees to recycle waste, particularly plastic, paper, and cardboard commonly used for food packaging. Educational materials and clear instructions on what materials can be deposited in each waste container are provided.

To ensure the success of our waste management practices, we are investing in training and awareness programs for our staff members. Through training modules, regular emails from our Employee Experience team, and printed informational materials at entry and exit points, we aim to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of waste reduction and recycling. We also include waste education as part of the onboarding process for new employees, emphasizing our commitment to sustainability from day one.

We believe in fostering a culture of waste management practices, not only within our organization, but also within the community. To expand our initiatives from the workplace to home environments, we organize an annual recycling expo, encouraging staff members to adopt eco-friendly practices outside of the workplace.

By implementing this comprehensive waste management system, we are actively reducing our environmental impact and upholding our  corporate responsibility. We believe that small changes can make a big difference, and through these efforts, we are contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future in Honduras.
