Given the good economy, consumers should be buying plenty this holiday season. Question is: Can retailers find qualified customer service reps to serve them?

So writes Working Solutions chief executive Kim Houlne in her op-ed, “Holiday Customer Service Will Measure Up – If You’re Prepared,” posted on multichannelmerchant.com.

After all, seasonal workers can be picky with so many jobs to choose from these days. Plus, temps—here today, gone tomorrow— can be undependable. And that hardly ensures quality service.

With on-demand contact center agents, however, Houlne points out retailers gain a reliable workforce at the ready. Why operate any other way?
