Don’t Start On The First Day On The Month

Month

The start of a new month is a fantastic opportunity to hit “reset” and get very inspired to make things happen. It is a very, very significant moment in your life that should not be taken lightly. The first day of the month is the ideal moment to “reset,” purposefully realign yourself, find your identity again, and make significant goals for the coming month.

Step 1: Take stock and think back.

Consider the past month that has just passed. For instance, as September 1st approaches, consider your August: How did you find August to be? What made it so excellent? Of what are you proud? Did you make any significant progress in August?

This is really crucial. It’s critical to reflect on your past, accept what happened, and draw lessons from it—whether it was something you directly controlled or something else entirely. Consider your situation and your feelings as you reflect.

 2. Dream and look forward

Looking forward and dreaming comes next after reflecting on the last month. What goals do you have for the upcoming month? If your response at this moment is, “I guess the same thing that I always do,” I’m going to issue you with a challenge to give it some serious thought.

For you, use the prior month as a guide. After reflecting on what transpired, list the items you would like to alter in the upcoming month.

3. Establish measurable monthly objectives

It’s so, so, so important, and it’s one of my favorite things to do and things I love to help people with. Yes, the first step to creating a meaningful, beautiful, passionate, and purposeful lifestyle is to consider what you want your life to look like. But how can you know if you’re making progress toward that without goals?

Dreams generate goals, which then inspire you to create a plan, which in turn inspires action, which results in happiness and contentment. You are seriously missing out, my friend, if you aren’t taking the time at the end of each month to do the exercise we just discussed, which involves looking back and reflecting, dreaming about what you want to happen in the upcoming month, and then putting a concrete plan on paper for how you’re going to make it happen.

Because just doing this can give your life so much more meaning and fulfillment on a daily and monthly basis.
